Truly, life is strange and contradictory, isn’t it?
For instance, you’re expected to give something and become so close to it that you can almost touch it, only for it to be easily taken away or leave you disheartened without any warning. It’s truly deceptive! So, why is it given to you in the first place? Is it to show you that your life is nothing without it?
It treats us just like slaves—literally, and even worse; slaves at least eat and drink, while we dream of having water poured before us, receiving just a drop. This situation leaves me shocked every time; it’s simply unbelievable.
Will things always remain this way? Will life always prevail? The bitter truth is: yes. No one is truly happy in life, and no one is without problems. Yet, our greatest struggle is often with ourselves; we rarely have the courage to face our own being, much like a wave pushed by the wind that only reaches the shore.
No matter how much life pushes us, we often lack the courage to confront ourselves. Moreover, many of us do not engage in this battle with ourselves alone but also with those who love us. I noticed that I said “those you love” rather than “those who love you.” Although these phrases sound similar, they reflect entirely different realities; you might wage war against those who love you, yet you cannot raise a weapon against those you love.
We always defeat ourselves; our heart, like a car without brakes, refuses to yield control. It never stops—shocking many and sometimes even hurting itself beyond its capacity to control. Likewise, we can play mind games all we want, but the heart makes the final decision. The mind does not always hold the truth; by nature, humans are emotional and fearful of confronting reality.
I liken the relationship between the mind and the heart to time and fate—they are completely opposite. Time represents the mind that continuously plans and ponders, while fate arrives in the very last moment to dismantle everything that has been built, to tear down all fortresses, and move on as if nothing ever existed. They often work together, yet each has a completely different purpose, like two trains running side by side but headed in different directions.
